With voting just weeks away (23-26 May), we've been getting a number of requests from colleagues researching stories on the 2019 European Parliament elections.

The EU election is an important topic for energy and climate reporters in Germany as well as in the rest of Europe. Countries in the European Union are connecting their energy systems and working together to coordinate the transition to a low-carbon future.

Over recent months, climate protection . Students across Europe are demanding more climate action with the Fridays For Future movement, while right-wing populist parties could make major gains in the coming elections, potentially bringing a new climate scepticism to the chamber.

We have compiled this list of contacts as a jumping-off point for journalists covering the 2019 European Parliament elections. It is not meant to be exhaustive, but we hope you will find this a useful starting point.
